Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Our client is a company focused on maintenance and repair services for heavy vehicles, where you can work across a range of commercial vehicle technologies. In addition to servicing, the work involves fault diagnosis, repairs and work related to vehicle body structures, regardless of brand. We are now looking for someone to join them in heavy-vehicle maintenance and repair in Oulu as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. DUTIES The work consists of varied maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles. Daily tasks include servicing and repairing trucks, vans and trailers, as well as fault diagnostics and component repairs. Where possible, you will also work with electrical and hybrid systems. The duties further include maintenance and repair of vehicle body structures. Work is not tied to a particular brand, so you will become familiar with vehicles from different manufacturers. WHAT WE EXPECT We are looking for someone with previous experience in heavy-vehicle maintenance and repair and an interest in heavy-vehicle technology. An independent and flexible approach to work and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are important. A B and C driving licence is required for the role. Diagnostic skills and knowledge of electrical and hybrid systems are advantages, but brand-specific expertise is not required. A good safety attitude and willingness to develop your professional skills are important. WHAT WE OFFER We offer permanent, full-time employment in varied heavy-vehicle maintenance and repair duties. The work is daytime work, and the precise working hours will be agreed with the workplace. Pay is based on the demands of the work and an individual pay component. There is also a monthly performance-based reward, which can be up to €650 per month plus 4% of work sales exceeding the reward threshold. Work starts as soon as a suitable person is found.
