Early Childhood Education Teacher

We are hiring a permanent Early Childhood Education Teacher for Havukallio Daycare starting 1 September 2026. Havukallio Daycare is located in a natural, forested residential area with good transport links. Nature is an important part of our learning environment, and we utilize the surrounding area in diverse activities. The daycare hosts five groups and has recently renovated facilities, offering modern spaces for collaboration with other staff to create engaging learning environments. We aim to meet each child warmly, support individual strengths, encourage and praise, and emphasise play, participation, and language development. Our pedagogy emphasises emotional and social skills and language development. We want children to learn, try, and succeed in a safe atmosphere. Our pedagogy is supported by an inclusive team including a broad-based special education teacher and a development-oriented teacher, and we also employ the ProVaka model (Positive Group Learning in Early Childhood Education). You will work with an experienced and professional staff, with a supportive work culture and opportunities to mentor and guide future professionals. The unit also hosts student teachers for field days, offering you the chance to mentor and share professional expertise. You should have good Finnish language speaking and writing skills.
