Laptuote-säätiö seeks a responsible trainer for an operational Finnish language integration training in the South Karelia employment region. The program targets participants whose Finnish language level is typically A1.1–A1.3 and who benefit from a slower, practice-oriented and strongly supported teaching approach. The role will be filled if Laptuote-säätiö is selected as the service provider. As a responsible trainer, you will oversee Finnish language teaching, training delivery, progress tracking, and participant guidance. You define the functional learning linguistic objectives and workshop mentors act as functional learning instructors in their own learning environments. Learning environments include Goodwill recycling store and workshop areas, laundry, kitchen and cleaning workshop, wood workshop, media workshop, and social and health care workshop. The selected candidate must hold a teaching qualification (pedagogical) with at least 35 credits/60 ECTS and either Finnish language studies or S2 studies (at least basic/subject studies). Key duties include planning and delivering Finnish language instruction according to OPH-649-2022 standards (A1.1–A1.3), defining linguistic goals for functional learning, coordinating workshop sessions, monitoring participant learning, providing personal guidance and motivation, designing continuation paths and drafting written final feedback, and contributing to concrete follow-up actions from a revised client continuation plan; collaborating with the client, workshop mentors and other necessary networks; after training, providing client-specific written feedback on language skills.
