Collections Officer

As a Collections Officer in Malta, your primary responsibility will be to inform the bank’s customers about outstanding debts and collect them. You will report directly to the German team leader and be an important part of a team responsible for handling sales, customer onboarding, customer inquiries, and collaborating with the collections department. In your free time, you can explore the capital’s historic museums and unique architecture or spend your weekend taking a boat trip to the Blue Lagoon, enjoying the gentle waves of the turquoise sea. Your tasks will include: • Providing customers with specific information about the bank’s products, services, and payments • Actively seeking new sales by following the given sales strategy and instructions • Complying with the required laws, regulations, and procedures • Presenting customers with correct and accurate information (after training, of course) • Responding to customer inquiries via phone, live chat, email, and SMS • Delivering an excellent customer experience • Working closely with other departments, especially regarding payments and collections, to ensure transparent and efficient interactions • Assisting with other customer inquiries Additionally, you can look forward to: • Involvement in the creation of sales reports • Opportunities for training and mentoring new team members • Assisting in the documentation of our operational procedures • Presenting ideas on how to improve operational systems, processes, and procedures • Performing ad hoc tasks in collaboration with the Head of New Markets The company’s goal is to deliver a top-notch customer experience. We’re looking for someone who: Has experience in sales (you don’t need to have worked in a bank before) Has customer service experience Is proficient in English and German (both written and spoken) Is 18 years or older Has experience in customer onboarding and document verification Has excellent communication skills driven by results Is detail-oriented, takes initiative, and maintains high work standards Identifies as a team player with a focus on customer service Can work independently Has good knowledge of Microsoft programs (especially Excel) The career opportunities are many, regardless of your background/skills when you start.
