Early Childhood Education Teacher

The role is for a substitute in the Illenpihan unit of Vantaa city’s early childhood education. The teacher will help implement a sensitive and safe daily routine where the child is at the center of activities. The candidate should be prepared to engage, to read the needs of children and the team, and to utilize different teaching approaches. We work with a two-teacher and one-nurse team; the vacancy is for a compassionate substitute teacher with potential to become permanent. The unit is part of the Illenpihan early childhood education unit, together with Illenpuiston day care. We value a proactive, collaborative and positive work culture and encourage trying new methods. We apply ProVaka model to support children’s social skills, and staff commit to its principles with the rest of the unit. Excellent written and spoken Finnish is required.
