About the role

We are seeking an orthopedic and traumatology specialist to Pohjanmaan well-being district, initially placed at the orthopedic unit of Vaasa central hospital. The region is one of Finland’s 21 well-being regions, responsible for social, health and rescue services in the Pohjanmaa province. The center for specialized medical care is Vaasa central hospital, a hospital with extensive on-call services that provides high-quality around-the-clock specialized care. Outpatient services in specialized care are also offered in Jakobstad, enabling high-quality and accessible services for the population of the whole area. The region values scientific medical expertise and continuous development. Vaasa central hospital is a significant education and research environment with broad cooperation with educational institutions and university hospitals. We offer strong support for scientific research and continuing education. The area is nationally unique for its bilingual working environment, with services produced in Finnish and Swedish. A probationary period applies.
