Business Controller

Yrjö ja Hanna Hoiva provides high-quality housing and care services across Finland. We are hiring a permanent, full-time Business Controller for the finance team in the Helsinki area. The Business Controller will work closely with the financial manager and four other business controllers, supporting the leadership of named care homes with financial expertise (including staffing levels, payroll processes, subcontracting and purchasing, real estate-related matters, and development). Their monthly cycle combines routine tasks (e.g., handling invoicing in DomaCaare, accounts payable/receivable, accruals, and preparing and reporting results) with development tasks aimed at improving the operations of care homes, investments, or preparing and opening new homes, using NetVisor, DomaCare, Mepco, and BI-book, in a Microsoft environment; Claude is used as an AI tool. While there is a partner for bookkeeping, basic book-keeping skills are still important. The role requires several years of experience in a similar business controller role in the care sector or real estate with service-production interfaces. You should be a proactive, straight-forward person who plans and leads own work and can ask for help and give/receive feedback. Our team has clear responsibilities and competencies, and success comes from working together. We value prior experience that helps support leaders in areas such as staffing levels, shift planning, occupancy, procurement, and real estate. We all have a role in providing customers with a safe everyday life; as a business controller you are a key support to the managers. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders across roles and adapt communication to different levels. The position is full-time and permanent, with fluent Finnish required; English is a plus. Salary is between €4,200 and €4,700 per month. We work in a hybrid model and would like to meet weekly at our Helsinki office. Start is available immediately, or can be phased from September–October.
