We are seeking an experienced and people-oriented head of care for an elderly care facility located in Turku. This role blends nursing expertise with leadership and operational development to support a meaningful daily life for residents. The position involves leading a team, collaborating with the care director and other supervisors to ensure smooth and high-quality daily operations, and developing care practices. Responsibilities include personnel management and wellbeing support, recruitment and onboarding, shift and absence planning, development discussions and staffing level monitoring, improving care quality and procedures, family cooperation, handling deviations and improving operations, and coordinating intake and housing processes for new residents. Requirements include a nursing degree in social and/or health sector, at least two years of experience in elder care, leadership skills from studies or work, and proficiency in Finnish and Swedish. We expect a humane and collaborative approach to leadership, while being approachable, firm, and decisive. We offer a salary range of 3,501–4,000 €/month depending on experience and competence, collective agreement terms, up to 38 vacation days depending on experience, extensive occupational health care including specialist services, a 250 € annual staff benefit for sports, culture and well-being, subsidised lunch and free coffee, experienced leadership support, a real opportunity to influence operations, and a stable non-profit employer.
