Nurse

Alholan care home in Perniö provides a homely environment for 29 residents, about three kilometers from the town center. Public transport does not operate near our unit, so you will need your own means of transport for commuting. As a nurse you are responsible for the overall planning, implementation and evaluation (RAI) of the patient's rehabilitative care, and you participate in developing the quality of nursing care. You act as the expert and coordinator of nursing care and supervise the work of practical nurses, care assistants and other care staff. You plan, implement and evaluate the patient’s medication treatment in collaboration with the physician and ensure that orders are followed within the unit. You work in close multidisciplinary collaboration, maintain contact with relatives and other partners, and monitor and assess residents’ well-being from a holistic perspective. In addition you mentor students, orient new employees and ensure continuous development of your own professional competence. The work is two-shift. A recruitment supplement of 8% of the position’s salary (243.38 €/month) for the first four months of employment. What we expect from you: good teamwork and interaction skills, fluent Finnish in spoken and written forms. Ability to manage large wholes and apply nursing and pharmacological knowledge in varying situations is valued. You are a people-oriented, flexible and change-positive professional. Experience in elderly care and the ability to treat residents as individuals and implement rehabilitation-oriented care. Good teamwork skills support your success. A valid LOVe medication license and good IT skills are considered advantageous. Eligibility: as per the Health Care Professionals Act (559/1994) nursing license.
