Specialist

We are seeking a specialist for a fixed-term position for the Evaluation Activities Procurement and Quality Management unit, from 1 October 2026 to 31 December 2027. The role involves cooperation with private providers of social services and city-owned care units, advising providers, and monitoring services, as well as tasks related to the development of procurements for outsourcing. The work is done independently, in pairs and in teams. The candidate must be self-driven, able to manage their own work and have organizational skills. The duties include advising clients and relatives, preparing statements related to reminders and complaints, and drafting various reports and studies, requiring fluent written Finnish. The unit covers 24/7 service housing for elderly and chronically multi‑ill clients under Finnish and Swedish language requirements, elder day activities and home care, plus procurement coordination and purchasing. The team collaborates actively with internal and external partners in elderly care. We offer interesting and varied work and extensive training and development opportunities. Proficiency in Finnish excellent spoken and written, and Swedish satisfactory spoken and written. Vaccination protection under the infectious diseases act is required. Before the decision, applicants must present a health check assessment. We require strong expertise and experience in elderly care services within social and health care, with emphasis on leadership and advisory tasks. Strong IT skills and safe medication handling are considered a plus. Experience with the RAI evaluation system and materials is valued.
