Early Years Teacher

We are seeking a kindergarten teacher for Kärsämäki's kindergarten for a permanent position. We have a work environment where child group sizes are moderate and staff work in teams. In all our daycare groups there are group assistants in addition to the personnel required by the Child Care Act. We emphasize child-centeredness, safety and close cooperation with parents. We expect the candidate to have a pedagogical and child-centered approach, flexibility and the ability to lead a team. Kärsämäki municipality uses job rotation. The qualification for the teaching position is the qualification for kindergarten teacher according to the transitional provisions of the Kindergarten Act (540/2018) sections 26 or 27. In the absence of qualified applicants we also consider those studying in the field and applicants with teaching experience. In this case the position will be filled for a fixed term from 12.10.2026 to 31.7.2027. The successful applicant must present a criminal background check in accordance with the Act on Background Checks for those working with children and a certificate of health.
