Team Leader

Wärtsilä’s Component Manufacturing (MTAC) is a world‑class manufacturer focusing on cylinder head covers, rocker arms and engine blocks as well as prototype and test parts machining and sub‑assembly work. We manufacture high‑quality products globally for Wärtsilä with safety, quality, delivery reliability and flexibility of parts as our priorities. We are now seeking a skilled, development‑oriented team leader for the cylinder head assembly, working with the Manufacturing Manager to lead operations and develop the area. The role is permanent and based in Vaasa. Responsibilities include leading the cylinder head assembly team, participating in production planning with production control to set weekly targets, reporting on performance and quality, developing operations with stakeholders and partners, advancing automation systems and processes, contributing to continuous improvement projects, close collaboration with other production teams, and ensuring workplace safety and staff training. Requirements include technical or commercial training or equivalent experience, several years’ experience in manufacturing, an entrepreneurial mindset, commitment and responsibility in leadership tasks, excellent ability to read technical drawings, knowledge of ISO quality systems, flexibility in shifts and ability to lead and guide a team, eagerness to learn and develop, fluent Finnish (Swedish and English helpful).
