Heavy Equipment Maintenance Supervisor

We are looking for a supervisor to take responsibility for planning, coordinating and managing the daily repair and maintenance work for heavy equipment. The equipment to be serviced includes wheel loaders, material-handling machines, telescopic handlers, forklifts and trucks, among other things. Role description The supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the work of a group of seven mechanics. The supervisor ensures that tasks are clearly prioritised and that mechanics have the spare parts and other conditions they need to carry out the work. The duties also include: • Cooperating and communicating with supervisors at contract sites, customers and other partners. • Receiving repair needs and fault reports, and compiling and prioritising repair lists. • Planning and scheduling repairs and maintenance to take customers’ needs and schedules into account. • Monitoring the completion of maintenance and repairs and the progress of work. • Ordering spare parts and anticipating spare-part needs. • Handling warranty, return and complaint matters related to spare parts. • Ensuring equipment availability and minimising downtime. • Ensuring information flows between customers, different locations, management and mechanics. • Maintaining documentation and follow-up for repair and maintenance work. • Handling external and internal invoicing. • Managing inventories. The work area is mainly the Äänekoski–Kuopio–Lappeenranta–Lahti region. The position requires regular presence and travel between the different locations and contract sites in the area, and the work cannot be performed remotely.
