Unit Manager

We are seeking a unit manager for the demanding foster care units in Oulaisten Kuntola and Pikku-Oulaisten Kuntola, which house 8–17-year-old children and youths. The two units are located close to each other; Oulaisten Kuntola has 7 places and Pikku-Oulaisten Kuntola has 4 places. We specialize in intensive care for youths with psychiatric and neuropsychiatric symptoms, and in psychiatric and functional rehabilitation. Our staffing level is high to enable individualized and safe interaction with children and youths. The primary goal is to offer the residents a stable, functional daily life under adult leadership. We do not treat youths with substance abuse or criminal history. As unit manager you will, together with your team, handle the upbringing, care and rehabilitation work for children and youths. The role requires presence in the units and active participation in everyday leadership. You may be trained as a social services graduate (sosionomi), social worker, nurse, occupational therapist, or hold another university-level degree applicable to social, health or upbringing fields. You must have experience in child protection work, competence in developmental disability or psychiatric work, and at least two years of supervisory experience.
