Automation Engineer

A technically challenging modernization project in the marine industry invites you to apply your strong automation and programming skills in a practical setting. We are seeking an experienced automation engineer for a fixed-term 6–12 month project in Vantaa to contribute to a retrofit project for marine drive systems. The role involves reversing engineering, software development, system testing and readiness for deployment, documenting functionality of the existing control system, developing and programming control functions for the new platform, configuring PLC and fieldbus solutions as part of the overall system, implementing drive-related controls and applications, participating in system testing and validation, and close collaboration with the project team and other experts. The candidate should have solid experience with CODESYS-based software development and a suitable engineering or DI degree in automation, electrical, or software engineering. Fluency in Finnish and English is required. The salary range is €3500–€4500 per month, final salary depending on skills and experience. Hybrid work is possible where task permits.
