As a personal assistant, you will become part of our clients' valuable stories. At Validia, personal assistance clients are individuals covered by disability services. Personal assistance involves helping with tasks at home or outside the home that the individual cannot perform due to illness or disability. Assistance may include supporting hobbies or studies, household chores, or enabling participation in leisure activities. Sometimes, the most important role of the assistant is to be a conversational partner and companion: a relaxed person for the individual. The role of a personal assistant is significant in the client’s daily life, aiming to support and enable living at home as long as possible and to offer opportunities for active and meaningful everyday life, respecting the client’s autonomy. This job suits you if you seek variety and flexibility, as work is tailored to the client’s needs and wishes. You also have the opportunity to influence your shifts in agreement with the client. You work independently and commit to agreed practices. An open attitude and your personality will take you far! We do not require formal training or experience in the field, but these are considered advantages. We offer you salary according to the collective agreement: Private Social Services Sector TES, pay grade G15A, flexible working hours, opportunity to familiarize yourself with disability work and healthcare, orientation tailored to your skills, support from a professional and humor-filled work community, possibility to pursue further studies and find employment in other social and health sector roles. We hope from you genuine interest in assistance work, positive and cheerful attitude, willingness to learn and develop in your work, sufficient Finnish language skills; knowledge of other languages is an advantage. We require vaccination protection according to Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and tuberculosis screening as per Section 55.
