Hotel Duty Manager

Original Sokos Hotel Vaakuna in Rovaniemi is seeking a permanent part-time Hotel Shift Manager to join our team (90 hours per 3 weeks). The position starts in September per agreement. The Hotel Shift Manager is responsible for the smooth daily operations of the hotel, particularly front desk and housekeeping, and leads the frontline team to ensure a high-quality guest experience, efficient operations, and staff success. The role is varied; depending on season and business needs, your duties will span front desk shift leadership, customer service, and coordination of housekeeping tasks, guidance, and quality assurance. You are ready to take on tasks wherever needed and lead by example to ensure smooth hotel operations year-round. We value a positive, solution-oriented attitude, strong collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to motivate a team even in busy times. You are comfortable with different systems, with Opera Cloud property management system being an asset. Experience with other hotel reservation and operations systems is also beneficial. We expect experience as a reception clerk; team leadership experience is a plus. Good stress tolerance in changing situations, enjoyment of customer service, and willingness to work throughout the week for our guests. Proficiency in English and Finnish is required; other languages are an asset. We offer competitive compensation under the Marava TES, salary in the range 15.60–16.93 €/h depending on previous experience, plus performance-based bonus of up to 1.69 €/hour.
