We are seeking a nurse for a permanent position on the Vaativan kuntoutuksen osasto at Seinäjoki Central Hospital, starting 26 October 2026 or as agreed. The unit is a 21-bed high-level rehabilitation ward whose main patient group consists of those who have had a cerebrovascular accident. Other patient groups include multi-trauma rehabilitation patients recovering from major injuries, those who have sustained a brain or spinal cord injury, and those coming to rehabilitation after a lower limb amputation. Our work is guided by kinesthetic values - respect, resource-orientation, and supporting the patient’s own functional capacity safely and purposefully. The nurse acts as a nursing expert, contributing to planning and executing the patient’s overall care in collaboration with the patient, their family, and a multidisciplinary team. The ward operates around the clock and nursing work on the ward is a three-shift system. Applicants are expected to have good collaboration, interaction, and customer-guidance skills, and experience in multidisciplinary rehabilitative nursing. Kinesthetic expertise and its practical application is valued. Ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary work community is a prerequisite for successful work. In addition, we require activity in promoting the well-being of rehabilitants and supporting self-care. Nursing work on the ward is physically demanding and requires good physical condition and ergonomic skills. Qualification is the license as a registered nurse (Act 559/1994) and registration in the Valvira professional register. Language requirement is good oral and written Finnish. In our selection we emphasize the candidate’s suitability for the position and the team. Terms of employment and salary are determined according to the SOTE agreement in force; the position starts at a task-based salary of 3067.23 €/month. A trial period applies. A valid health certificate must be presented before taking up the post. The selected candidate may be required to undergo a narcotics test. HYVAEP is a nicotine-free workplace. The job requires vaccination protection under the Health Protection Act §48 and documentation about tuberculosis according to §55.
