Air Quality Specialist

The HSY air protection unit seeks a fixed-term Air Protection Expert in Helsinki for the period 2.11.2026–31.10.2027. We monitor air quality across the capital region and elsewhere in Uusimaa, provide reliable data, manage communications about air protection, and work in close collaboration with various stakeholders. In the role you will be responsible for the expert communications about air quality in the capital region, producing and updating air quality information across our channels, promote cooperation with cities, develop and maintain technical channels including websites, and coordinate and participate in air quality duty rosters. Requirements include a suitable university degree, experience and knowledge in air protection tasks, strong collaboration and communication skills, willingness to learn and try new things, and good Finnish and English with satisfactory Swedish. We look favorably on experience in expert and resident communications as well as environmental education tasks.
