About the role

We are seeking a permanent Sales Coordinator starting 1 October 2026. The Sales Coordinator is responsible for implementing and coordinating Turku City Museum’s business services. The role includes coordinating the operations of museum shops and ticket counters, collaborating with restaurant and cafe operators, and participating in marketing communications planning and execution in conjunction with the City of Turku communications team. The coordinator will also be responsible for the museum’s online shop and will take part in digital customer service work and its development. A suitable higher education degree or an equivalent diploma or vocational degree is required, as well as experience in diverse sales and marketing activities. The role requires sales expertise, customer-oriented thinking, and experience working with various stakeholders, as well as sufficient IT system proficiency. Knowledge of social media channels and advertising/marketing skills are also required. A strong networking ability is an asset. Sales and marketing education and language skills (especially English and Swedish) are advantageous. The Turku City Museum operates five museum sites; the major sites are Turun linna and Luostarinmäen museo-kortteli. The museum is a regional duty museum and maintains a large cultural-historical artifact collection, with about 300,000 visitors annually.
