The preschool teacher will work with a 3–5 year old group at Aurinkokiven day care in Vantaa. Responsibilities include planning and implementing pedagogical activities, developing the learning environment, and evaluating educational work in collaboration with other staff in accordance with the Vantaa early childhood education and pre-school plan and the unit’s operational plan. We value good teamwork and communication skills, and the ability to consider each child's individual needs. The role involves multiprofessional collaboration and a warm, supportive approach to children and parents. We use the ProVaka method to support children’s social skills, and the teacher commits to acting in line with its principles together with the rest of the unit staff. There are clear leadership structures, and opportunities to participate in the unit’s management group. The unit has a versatile environment with five child groups and a daytime activity hub and clubs, plus connections to the broader service center. We look for excellent Finnish language skills. Salary published for the role is 3129.46–3234.53 EUR/month, with incremental increases based on qualifications and experience.
