About the role

As a family therapist in family services you work with children, adolescents and parents. The role includes individual, couple and family sessions as well as group and network work, and planning and guiding these activities. You support families’ interaction, resources and participation, and promote change work in challenging life situations. You use systemic, family therapy and trauma-informed approaches and are able to combine appropriate support and supervision. You operate both in client-facing work and in a consultative role supporting staff in applying and developing family therapy and trauma-informed methods. The position emphasizes flexible working style and the ability to move smoothly between roles to meet the needs of clients, families, work teams and collaboration networks. The job also includes evening and weekend work. The position starts at as early as 1 October or as agreed. Workplace name and address: Pajupolun perhekuntoutus, Pajupolku 1, 02770 Espoo Working hours: shift work The position is permanent. Eligibility: a suitable higher education degree in social and health care or a previous vocational qualification and the title-protected psychotherapist (family therapist) qualification. The role requires experience working with children in need of protection and knowledge of child protection processes. Also required is vaccination protection under Section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act. A criminal background check is required under Section 6.2 of the Criminal Records Act.
