As a product-structure engineer you are responsible for maintaining and updating structures from a design perspective and ensuring they stay current. Your role sits in the design organization, but you will work closely across functions with sales, production, aftersales and documentation. Key areas include maintaining part nomenclature and product structures from a design viewpoint, compiling 3D models and keeping master models up to date, creating part numbers and variants, and producing supporting material and technical documentation for aftersales or sales configurator needs. You will be the “technical counterparty” for the sales configurator’s lead user, producing content for variant structures and ensuring our 3D model corresponds to the structure so that when a structure updates, the model stays current. Your main tools include Creon, Windchill, Sovelia, Visma L7 and our forthcoming ERP. You will interpret technical drawings and documentation fluently and discuss with mechanical designers, production control and the technical documentation team. You understand that material management must be transparent at system level. You can assemble parts and nomenclatures into sensible structures and your work supports the SBOM/MBOM process. You ensure the product structure flows consistently from order confirmation to aftersales documentation (sales configurator – design – production – aftersales). Our ideal candidate has a strong background in product structures or mechanical design, knowledge of vehicle technology or heavy equipment is a plus. You may have worked as a designer or in product structures and product management. You live and breathe product structures, nomenclature and part names. We value ability to create and interpret technical documents and product specifications and SBOM/MBOM experience. Experience in change management is a plus but not required for success. The role requires a precise and methodical expert who enjoys managing large domains and process development. Our working language is Finnish and we require fluent English, especially for technical terminology, spoken and written. The organization is in a strong growth and development phase, so we expect adaptability and a genuine willingness to be part of our story. The role is located with a Finnish company with nearly a century of history in vehicle manufacturing.
