The role is in the city development sector, in the measurement and real estate service area. You will work in the measurement and real estate unit together with your supervisor, the head of measurement and real estate and the site engineer and surveyor. The geospatial engineer role is broad and includes acting as the main user of the cartography and geospatial program (FactaMap Pro) and keeping the base map up to date, as well as data updates to the geospatial server. Additionally you lead the measurement team, taking responsibility for all measurements for Karkkila town. Measurements use Trimble devices (Total Station and GNSS). Your duties also include drafting parcel divisions/consultation, and preparing deliveries in cooperation with the delivery engineer (e.g. delivery maps). The geospatial engineer position requires a suitable at least lower university degree or adequate experience in similar tasks. Competence in land consolidation, maintenance of map programs/data, and field surveys is required. Experience with FactaMap, Facta cadastral register, and lupapiste.fi software is advantageous. We expect initiative and good cooperation and interpersonal skills. Salary and terms are determined by the applicable municipal technical staff collective agreement (TS). A four-month trial period applies. The selected candidate must provide an acceptable medical certificate of health.
