Electrical Engineer

Wärtsilä Energy leads the transition towards a 100% renewable energy future. We want two Electrical Supervisor/Commissioning Engineers to plan and supervise electrical installation and commissioning activities at project sites. The role requires approximately 250 days of international travel per year. This is a permanent position, with home office locations Turku, Vaasa, or Helsinki, Finland (residing there is not mandatory). Responsibilities during installation include guiding electrical subcontractor(s), ensuring work follows the Last Planner System, maintaining reporting practices, ensuring as-built drawings are completed and communicated, ensuring HSSE compliance, coordinating with Civil and Mechanical disciplines, inspecting received materials, and participating in weekly site meetings. During commissioning, perform start-up and tests of equipment, follow commissioning plans and procedures, document results, ensure safety and compliance with EHS, participate in site commissioning meetings, and assist the client with procedures and testing. Required qualifications include B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, familiarity with codes and standards, understanding of utility generation construction and commissioning practices, good communication and team-building skills, willingness to travel, and proficiency in English; other languages are advantageous. Relocation or immigration support is not available for this position.
