Do you want to work in diverse fiber optic network construction and maintenance tasks across Uusimaa? Do you have experience with fiber welding, fault finding, and independent field work in outdoor conditions? We are looking for an experienced telecommunications installer for a permanent, long-term position in Uusimaa. In your role you will be responsible for building, installing, and maintaining fiber optic cables and networks in field conditions and in residential buildings. Your duties include fiber splicing, joint changes, aerial jumps, connections, equipment installations and locating and repairing faults. Previous experience with cable TV networks is desirable. The job often takes place outdoors on infrastructure sites. Success in the role requires initiative, problem-solving skills and the willingness to work in varying conditions. We are especially seeking someone with experience of operator networks, reading schematics, and using various measuring instruments for testing and fault-finding of fiber networks. Travel will mainly be within the Helsinki/Uusimaa area with a service vehicle, but travel and overtime across Finland is also expected. A security check will be performed on the selected candidate, so a clean background is required. If you fit this role, you have: • Electrical or telecommunications installer training • Experience in building and welding fiber networks • Ability to read images and act accordingly • Valid occupational safety, first aid/ emergency response and road work cards • Driving license B • Good Finnish; English is a plus • Willingness to work overtime and travel • Positive attitude and motivation to deliver high-quality work. We offer: • TES or better pay, paid on time.
