Sign Language Interpreter

A part-time sign language interpreter is sought for the East procurement area. The role is a temporary maternity leave replacement starting immediately or by agreement and ends 31 Dec 2026, with potential for continuation. The position is part-time and schedules vary based on client needs. Assignments include interpretation in hospitals, offices, meetings, or events, with notification typically one week to one month in advance; urgent assignments may be announced with shorter notice. We require a professional with a qualification in the field and relevant experience. Applicants should be proficient in interpretation techniques, have good communication skills, and be able to work in challenging social situations. Strong general knowledge, current affairs interest, fluent expression, calm under pressure, and teamwork are valued.
