The position is located in the Financial Investigations Division of the Police, within the Money Laundering Investigation Centre. The investigator’s duties include producing strategic, tactical and operational analyses using large data sets to support investigations into money laundering and financing of terrorism, as well as developing analytical and investigative operations. Concrete tasks include situational and phenomenon mapping, case summaries for informants, annual reports, intelligence reports and other products that guide and support operational work. The role also involves developing the information systems and investigative processes of the Money Laundering Investigation Centre to make information use easier and more efficient. It also includes handling suspicious transactions and reports related to money laundering and terrorism financing, as well as international duties such as developing international analysis and cooperation with reporters, and other tasks related to the centre’s field of activity.
