Your ideas become outings – the joy of learning, guided by you!
We are looking for an early childhood education teacher for Merikartta in Joensuu.
For us at Touhula, children and families are close to our hearts. Together with them, we create a happy childhood and a good working life – the most beloved daycare centre, one we all share.
We believe early childhood education is one of society’s most important expert fields. We want to welcome every child, guardian and colleague who comes through our daycare doors warmly, respectfully and professionally. We are looking for someone who champions childhood and play, wants to help build high-quality early childhood education and lead pedagogical activities together with the rest of the team.
As an early childhood education teacher, you are responsible for planning, carrying out, assessing and developing the group’s pedagogical activities together with your team. Through your work, you create a safe, inspiring learning environment that supports children’s participation and allows every child to grow, learn and develop as their unique self. You can make use of your pedagogical expertise and support children’s individual needs as part of a multidisciplinary work community.
We value a teacher who is enthusiastic about developing early childhood education, committed to shared goals and able to build open cooperation with children, guardians and colleagues. We hope you bring strong pedagogical thinking, good interaction skills and a genuine desire to create a safe, play-filled and meaningful everyday life for children.
Touhula Merikartta – what is the daycare like?
Touhula Merikartta is a warm and development-oriented daycare centre. We believe in continuous learning and boldly developing our activities. Over the past year, we have taken major steps forward, reflected in customer satisfaction and feedback from families. Families particularly appreciate our skilled and caring staff, the way children are considered when activities are planned, and our varied everyday programme.
Our location offers excellent opportunities to enrich pedagogy with experiences in the surrounding area, and we actively cooperate with the neighbouring daycare centre. Pedapuu materials also support our everyday work, making it easier to plan and deliver high-quality activities.
With a new group starting, we are looking for an education professional who wants to help develop our daycare’s work further. We particularly value expertise or interest in music, physical activity and crafts education, as well as supporting children. We hope you take an active, independent and development-oriented approach and can meet children, guardians and colleagues openly and respectfully.
You will thrive at Merikartta if you are excited by new opportunities, ready to take the initiative in developing our work and keen to build high-quality early childhood education together with the work community. A sense of humour, a positive attitude and a willingness to commit to working together will help you enjoy being part of our small, diverse and renewed team.
We promise you a thorough introduction, genuine support from your supervisor and an open culture of discussion and feedback. You will be able to influence your work, develop your expertise and leave your own mark on the daycare’s activities.
