Accounting Manager

About the Role: As a Senior Manager, Accounting at ShopMy, you will play a key role in building and maintaining the financial infrastructure that supports our continued growth. You'll own the day-to-day accounting function, bring a strong audit mindset to everything you touch, and partner cross-functionally to ensure our financial data is accurate, prepared timely, and built to scale. Your Impact to the Role: Own day-to-day accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, variance explanations and financial reporting; Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data across the business; Bring a strong audit mindset to internal controls, compliance, and financial processes; Research technical accounting matters, and prepare clear, well supported memos for audit and financial reporting purposes; Apply industry-relevant accounting knowledge to navigate the nuances of a high-growth technology and creator economy company; Identify opportunities to improve and scale accounting systems and workflows as the business grows; Support external audits, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements as needed. What We're Looking For: 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong foundation in audit; CPA license; Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards and demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and write up technical accounting positions and memos; Familiarity with modern accounting tools and a track record of process improvement; Industry-relevant experience in technology, e-commerce, or a high-growth startup environment preferred; Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment; Strong communicator who can translate complex financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders; Bonus Points: Industry relevant experience in technology, e-commerce, or a high-growth startup environment; NetSuite ERP system experience. In compliance with New York Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this position is as shown. New York Pay Range $135,000 - $155,000 USD. The provided salary range is base salary, exclusive of bonus potential or commission and is a good faith estimate of cash compensation.
