Machine Assembler

We are seeking for our client a number of machine assemblers for initially fixed-term employment. As a machine assembler your task is to guide the planning and execution of quality shipbuilding, responsible for various tasks related to machine installations on different areas of the ship. You will cooperate with partners during the commissioning of different ship projects. You will also ensure safety in your own area of responsibility. Work mainly onshore on ships, with positions in Turku, Uusikaupunki and Rauma. You should be prepared to work overtime and weekends. There is possibility to move to the client’s payroll later. Your education may be for example pipefitter, machine assembler, watchkeeping engineer, machinist or plate welder; the key is that you know the tools and have experience in machine installation. We value initiative and teamwork, and the ability to work independently and organize. Previous experience in similar duties related to machine installations or shipbuilding is preferred. Experience in shipboard machine installation is an asset but not required if you have performed other installation tasks. If you have the following prerequisites, you may be the person we are looking for: Several years of experience in similar work; a valid occupational safety card; good Finnish language skills as the supervisor speaks Finnish; high work ethic; social skills to get along with people even in challenging situations.
