About the role

Early Childhood Education Teacher! A great place to grow in Kempele! We are seeking an early childhood education teacher for a permanent position starting September 1, 2026, or by agreement during September. At the start of the employment, the place of assignment is Linnakankaan daycare center. The application period has been extended, and those who have previously applied will be considered in the continued recruitment. In Kempele's early childhood education, the well-being of the child and family and daily interaction are important. We actively develop the pedagogy and quality of our early childhood education. Our development work is guided by the early childhood education and pre-primary education curricula and the Good Growth program according to Kempele's municipal strategy, which emphasizes the prevention of and intervention in bullying as well as play-based pedagogy. To support staff expertise, we organize continuing education and actively develop occupational well-being. You will have the opportunity to develop your own skills and pedagogy with enthusiastic professionals. We use the VALSSI early childhood education quality evaluation system to support quality development. Our focus area for pedagogical development is Play. As an early childhood education teacher, we expect from you: - Skilled pedagogical expertise - Sensitive interaction with the child - Expertise in play-based pedagogy - Team leadership skills - Good teamwork and interaction skills - Readiness to utilize digital tools - Courage to try new things, develop, and take on challenges. It is important to us that every child is met individually. We value expertise in working methods and techniques related to emotional and interaction skills, small group pedagogy as a working method, and expertise in play-based pedagogy. Pre-primary education qualification is considered an advantage. The eligibility requirements for an early childhood education teacher are determined in accordance with Section 26 or 27 and Section 75 of the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) and its transitional provisions. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Act 504/2002 before the start of employment and provide an acceptable medical certificate of health. A six (6) month probationary period applies to the position. The terms of employment are determined according to Section G of OVTES. The salary for the position starts from €2,981.70 /month according to the Kempele municipality level salary system. The salary will be specified based on the demanding factors of the position. In addition, the KM supplement and qualification supplement according to OVTES Section G are paid, as well as Kempele municipality's own KM supplement of €70/month. Experience-based supplement is also paid according to the collective agreement. Kempele municipality offers employees benefits such as ePassi and a discounted annual pass for the leisure pool and gym. Additionally, municipal employees can utilize benefits offered by several Kempele-based companies for sports and other services.
