Join us to do meaningful work in child protection placement. We are seeking a Responsible Nurse for the Kapteeni unit in Ulvila, part of Sospro Kapteeni. Kapteeni is a specialized residential unit providing around‑the‑clock foster care for seven 11–17-year-olds, with a focus on neuropsychiatric rehabilitation. The team includes a unit manager, five care and education workers, a responsible nurse, and two night guards; staff ratio is 1.3. We are part of the Ravanikoti network, connected to other units. The nurse’s role includes bringing psychiatric rehabilitation perspectives into care plans, mapping a child’s health, acting as health care contact, planning and supervising medication, and supporting the team and mentors. In addition to nursing duties, you will have mentoring responsibilities within a team, and you will lead the planning and execution of care and education plans for the placed child. The job is in three shifts, full-time and permanent, starting as soon as possible. Requirements include prior experience or strong interest in child protection, and a Bachelor’s degree in nursing. We value an independent, professional work style and ability to guide and motivate youths. Valid hygiene passport, B‑driver’s license, and social and health care professional card are required. The collective agreement is the Private Social Services Collective Agreement with a 6‑month trial period. A criminal record extract as required by law must be presented.
