Early Childhood Education and Care Assistant

We are hiring one (1) fixed-term EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION CHILDCARE WORKER for the Vanhankylä and Eerola early childhood education area from 4 January to 30 June 2027. The childcare worker works in early childhood education in Vanhankylä and Eerola in alternating weeks. The eligibility requirement for the early childhood education childcare worker position is a vocational qualification in education and guidance, a vocational qualification in social and health care, or another suitable equivalent qualification that includes—or has been supplemented with—sufficiently extensive qualification units in childcare, education and teaching. The selected candidate must present a criminal-record extract under section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act before employment begins. The position has a two (2) month probationary period. Working hours are 38.25 hours per week, and pay is determined according to the KVTES collective agreement. The City of Valkeakoski’s workplaces are smoke-free.
