We are seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the Management Academic Unit at the University of Vaasa for a two-year fixed-term position in the field of strategic business development within the accounting discipline. The role involves active participation in research project planning, execution, and pursuing national and international funding, as well as teaching and supervision in the Master's Programme in Business Development. The position requires regular presence in the master’s programme locations Seinäjoki, Kokkolä and Vaasa, with primary work locations in one of these cities. A strong interest in research-oriented pedagogy and the ability to integrate research, teaching and regional impact are valued. The postdoc will build collaborations with regional companies, development organisations, and university consortia to identify opportunities for research, development and innovation cooperation. The annual workload is 1612 hours, and a detailed annual total workload plan will be agreed each year. Requirements include a suitable doctoral degree in business or a related field, ability to conduct independent scientific work, and teaching skills. The appointment highly regards experience in research and development projects, ability to build collaborations with companies and regional actors, interest in regional development and impactful research, and evidence of research activity and publications. It is advantageous to have a PhD after the doctorate and publications in high-impact journals, international mobility, and external funding experience. Teaching duties and pedagogical studies are considered an asset. Proficiency in Finnish is required; the university may grant exceptions.
