Join Avustajasi Validia Oy and help shape the story of its clients. We are seeking personal assistants for the Lovisa region. Personal assistance is home-based or outside-home support in tasks the person cannot perform due to illness or disability. It may include helping with hobbies or studies, housekeeping duties, or enabling leisure activities. Sometimes the most important task is to be a conversational companion and a steady presence for the client. The aim is to support living at home for as long as possible and to enable an active, meaningful daily life while respecting the client’s autonomy. The role offers variety and flexibility; shifts can be adjusted together with the client. You will work independently and follow agreed practices. An open attitude and your own personality go a long way. Because of the flexibility, the job suits students and retirees as a side gig. We do not require formal training or work experience, but these are considered a plus. We offer a salary according to the collective agreement for private social services with pay grade G16A, flexible working hours, opportunities to gain experience in disability work and care, orientation tailored to your competence, a supportive work community, and possibilities for further studies to work in other social and health care tasks. We look forward to your genuine interest in supporting others. We require sincere interest in assisting work, a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and adequate Finnish language skills (other languages are a plus). Vaccination protection under the Communicable Diseases Act 48 § and tuberculin screening under 55 § are required, and criminal record checks will be performed as per the Social and Health Care Inspectorate Act.
