Healthcare Assistant

Etelä-Savon hyvinvointialue Eloisa is seeking a fixed-term Healthcare Assistant for home care in Pertunmaa from 5 October 2026 to 12 September 2027. Pertunmaa home care serves about 55 clients monthly and consists of 14 professionals. The primary work location is Pertunmaa home care, but shifts may be assigned to other Eloisa home care units in neighboring municipalities as needed. We offer strong professional development through further training such as sampling and wound care. You will have support from the Situation Center in care need assessment and in safety around the clock. We use a needs-based operating model aimed at high-quality customer service, staff wellbeing and productivity. Home care uses the Hilkka activity management system and LifeCare patient information system. The required qualification is a social and health care vocational qualification or a higher vocational qualification in the field and registration in the Permit and Supervisory Agency’s professional register. The role also requires completed LOVE online studies and exams in injectable medication administration, which can be completed also at the start of employment. A driving license is essential and car use is a plus. Proficiency in spoken and written Finnish is required. The role requires vaccination protection under the communicable diseases act and a health statement regarding tuberculosis. A six-month probation period applies. Applicants with work experience with older adults must present an acceptable criminal record before starting in roles lasting more than 3 months.
