We are seeking anesthesiologists for the anesthesia and surgery unit of the New Children’s Hospital. The position is part of the Surgery and Intensive Care Center’s operating theatres at Campus Helsinki, with duties spanning both the operating room and the pediatric intensive care unit (Laakso ICU). The doctor will work in the anesthesia and ICU day-station and participate in organizing the unit, teaching, research, and development activities, and may undertake administrative tasks such as daily leadership of the operating unit. Requirements include a licensed physician and board certification in a relevant specialty (anesthesiology and intensive care). Proficiency in Finnish is required; Swedish proficiency is acceptable, with Finnish being strong. A vaccination certificate in line with infectious disease laws and a health status clearance for work in healthcare is required. A criminal background check under the Child Welfare Act applies. Salary is physician contract-based, at least 6,443.01 €/month plus potential experience or other allowances. The application deadline is 31 August 2026.
