As a Backend Engineer at Oscilar, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers our SaaS platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring the delivery of highly reliable, low latency, and scalable services that meet the needs of our global enterprise clients. Responsibilities include designing and developing scalable, high-performance, low-latency backend services using Java and AWS technologies; collaborating with product management, frontend, and QA teams; optimizing and enhancing existing services; identifying bottlenecks; implementing CI/CD pipelines; proactively monitoring health and performance; and providing technical guidance to junior team members. Requirements include a university degree (Bachelor or Master) in CS or related field, 5+ years backend experience with Java and AWS, expertise in microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka/Clickhouse, RESTful APIs and security; experience with CI/CD tools and agile methodologies; strong problem-solving and communication skills. Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance, low-latency backend services using Java and AWS technologies
- Collaborate with product management, frontend, and QA teams to define technical requirements and ensure smooth integration
- Optimize and enhance existing services for performance and reliability
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the system for optimal resource utilization
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment
- Proactively monitor health and performance of backend services
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of backend software development experience with Java and AWS
- Strong experience in building and operating low latency, high scale services in a distributed environment
- Proficiency in Java programming with deep ecosystem knowledge
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Clickhouse
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and security best practices
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven, Gradle) and agile methodologies
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
