We are inviting applications for a Swedish-speaking day care unit in Vantaa to join our pedagogical team as a child care worker within early childhood education. The unit will operate under the city of Vantaa’s Swedish-language service area vision: We grow, play and learn together for a sustainable future. The work environment emphasizes inclusivity, safety and sustainability, with the child’s best interests at the center. During the 2026–2027 program year, focus areas include language and communication, play, and well-being. The unit participates in the ProSmå project to strengthen children’s socio-emotional skills and promote positive interactions across the daycare. A new day care Silva is planned to replace the current Håkansböle day care, anticipated to open in fall 2027 with modern facilities that support pedagogy, collaboration and a sustainable everyday life for children and staff. Employment details: Qualifications: Childcare Worker (qualifications for childcare according to the Act on Early Childhood Education). In addition to the qualifications, good Swedish language skills are required. Employment terms are according to the municipal general collective agreement (AKTA). Salary: 2553.28 euro/month plus any seniority-based supplement. Prerequisites: a valid criminal record extract; we verify that those appointed to work with children have provided a tuberculosis clearance. Number of positions: 1. Trial period: 4 months.
