Production Coordinators and Warehouse Operators

Valio’s Joensuu factory makes one third of all Valio cheeses; its main products are Valio Polar® cheeses, Valio Salaneuvos® cheeses and Valio Viola® cream cheeses. In the coming years, further processing and packaging of cheese and the manufacture of plant-based products will be concentrated in Joensuu, and the factory workforce will grow to around 300 Valio employees. We are now hiring production coordinators and warehouse operators for the warehouse function. There are several fixed-term positions scheduled for the period 21 December 2026–31 December 2027. Warehouse operator, materials warehouse (2 people). You will be responsible for the factory’s materials warehouse. Duties include receiving goods, shelving, collecting materials for production and month-end inventory. Use of the SAP warehouse system and 6S in the area. Warehouse operator, dispatch (2 people). Your responsibilities include planning and loading the factory’s outgoing domestic and export shipments, as well as unloading incoming raw-material loads. Use of the SAP warehouse system and 6S in the area. Production coordinator, transfer vehicle (3 people). Your responsibilities include preparing and moving raw materials and supplies from different buildings to the packaging line according to the production plan. Use of the SAP warehouse system and 6S in the area. This role requires a category C driving licence. We are primarily looking for good, hands-on people with the right attitude. The work is in two shifts. The duties also require readiness to work weekends. Pay is according to the SEL collective agreement. What we expect from applicants: Education in food, logistics or a technical field and/or work experience in industrial warehousing Good hygiene competence and practices A flexible, responsible and positive attitude to work, initiative and ability to cooperate Ability to adapt quickly to change and to changing production needs Basic IT skills (for example, familiarity with SAP and MMC systems) Previous forklift experience is an advantage When you start with us, you will receive a good introduction to your duties.
