We are Hemby, a company renewing home services for the elderly, children and basically all ages in need of assistance. We offer joy and security in our clients’ everyday lives and our motto is: we help like our own mother or father. What is a helper? A helper is a person who provides everyday help, company and/or supports home cleanliness for their named client, such as an elderly person. The helper’s work may include assisting the client with all kinds of daily tasks, such as outdoors activities, shopping trips, taking out the trash, or just having coffee and conversation. We also hire cleaner helpers whose duties include professional home cleaning and window washing. Over time, the helper and the client often become friends through work. The helper’s work can be done by anyone over 18—from students to retirees. The most important thing is a proactive attitude and a genuine wish to help. The helper’s job does not require other special skills. It’s enough that you want to spend time with people in need and make their daily life better and easier with your actions. Work can be done according to your situation, and working hours are very flexible. For cleaners’ helpers we require experience in the cleaning field. What is the best part of being a helper? We asked our helpers, and they answered: - “The unhurried encounter with people and becoming friends with the senior.” - “Helping others and feeling of meaningfulness.” - “Belonging to the Hemby community.” As a helper you will have: - Your own named client to assist with daily tasks and be their companion - Flexible hours that fit well with studies or part-time work. A typical work time is 1-2 times a week for a few hours. - Competitive hourly pay: €13.20–€15.98 per hour plus collective agreement allowances and holiday pay. - Good progression opportunities: you can advance to pro-helper or guru-helper and get a raise.
