About the role

The Biochemist for the LEGENDplex Group at BioLegend will be responsible for all aspects of product manufacturing, including planning, making and testing immunoassay components and kits, trouble-shooting issues associated with product quality, and documenting and reviewing production batch records to ensure accuracy and completeness. Additional responsibilities include working with the Product Development team to ensure proper transfer of new products from the Product Development Group to Manufacturing. Essential Functions include manufacturing kit components (antibody-bead coupling conjugations, antibody-biotin conjugation, and various formulations), working with bottling, labeling, and storing components according to standard operating protocols, performing in-process testing, documenting, analyzing, and reviewing data, managing inventory and scheduling production work-orders, solving complex problems with cross-functional teams, exercising daily judgement within defined procedures, and taking on other projects as needed including assisting packaging and assembly during peak demand. Minimum Qualifications – Education and Experience: Associate’s degree with relevant experience OR New graduate with Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field and 1+ years of experience. Preferred Qualifications include hands-on experience with immunoassays such as ELISA, Good Laboratory Practice, Good Documentation Practice, GMP and ISO13485 experience, strong time management, and basic manufacturing knowledge. Work Environment includes lab setting and occasional warehouse exposure. The role discusses an hourly pay range of $20.00 – $33.50 per hour and notes that base pay may be complemented by additional compensation depending on level, location, and qualifications.
