We are seeking a support worker for a permanent position at a new residential unit in Seinäjoki, as part of housing services for working-age adults with disabilities. Housing services for working-age adults support the everyday lives, functional ability and rehabilitation of clients with mental health or substance use challenges and other special support needs. Our work is client-centred and based on a recovery-oriented framework, placing the client’s participation, strengths and individual goals at the centre. The unit has a multidisciplinary team of social and healthcare professionals. We work together to support clients’ wellbeing, safe everyday lives and rehabilitation. Alongside long-term accommodation, the unit provides short-term accommodation and assessment periods. As a support worker, you will take part in supporting and guiding clients in their daily lives and in rehabilitative work. You will be part of the assessment team and work actively with mental health and substance use services. In addition to client work, the role includes administrative tasks delegated by the supervisor, coordinating activities and supporting the everyday work of the team. When needed, you will act as the supervisor’s substitute. You will mainly work weekday morning shifts. We expect you to be willing to complete medication permits if you do not already have them. The work calls for a client-centred and rehabilitative approach, collaboration skills and the ability to work in changing situations. The qualification requirement is a higher education degree in social and healthcare or another suitable field, together with the social worker qualification specified in section 8 of Act 817/2015 for child welfare institutions. The terms of employment and pay follow the applicable SOTE agreement. The starting pay is €3,020 per month. A probationary period applies. An acceptable health certificate and a criminal records extract under section 28 of Act 741/2023 must be provided before taking up the position. The selected candidate may also be asked to provide a drug test result. HYVAEP is a nicotine-free workplace. Vaccination protection under section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act and an assessment concerning respiratory tuberculosis under section 55 are required.
