Global Operations Trade & Compliance Manager

What You Bring 10+ years of supply chain management experience, with at least 6 years in international logistics and customs/trade compliance Deep knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, tariffs, and trade agreements Proven experience managing relationships with 3PLs, customs brokers, and freight forwarders Experience with customs clearance, commercial documentation, and import/export compliance across multiple countries Strong analytical skills with ability to manage data, identify trends, and optimize operations Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, International Trade, or related field Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish highly valuable APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or equivalent supply chain certification Customs broker license or equivalent trade compliance certification (C-TPAT, FMC certification) Experience with logistics management software systems (CampusShip, eFactory, SFDC, SAP, or similar) Background in high-tech hardware manufacturing or e-commerce fulfillment Experience managing hazmat shipments and regulatory compliance Experience with transfer pricing and international operations for tax optimization Familiarity with Mexico customs regulations and market entry requirements Experience scaling supply chain operations during rapid business growth International Trade Expertise: Deep understanding of customs, tariffs, trade agreements, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions Vendor Management: Ability to build strong partnerships, negotiate effectively, and manage vendor performance Problem-Solving: Analytical approach to identifying root causes and implementing solutions for logistics challenges Communication: Clear, professional communication across technical and non-technical audiences; ability to explain complex trade/customs concepts Project Leadership: Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage projects with multiple stakeholders Attention to Detail: Precision with documentation, compliance, and regulatory requirements where accuracy is critical Strategic Thinking: Ability to balance operational efficiency with long-term supply chain strategy Adaptability: Comfort operating in a fast-growing environment with changing requirements and new market launches Estimated 10-15% travel, primarily for vendor visits, broker meetings, and site inspections at distribution hubs.
