As an IT Support Intern, you will help keep Verda’s employees productive by supporting the technology they use every day. You will work alongside the IT team to provide hands-on support across devices, accounts, office technology, and employee onboarding across our corporate IT structure. This is a broad, practical role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems and wants to build real experience in a fast-growing company. You will learn by working with production tools, real employee needs, and the operational standards required to support a global team. Your responsibilities - Assist with first-line IT support requests from Verda employees across the globe. - Set up and prepare laptops, accessories, mobile devices, and meeting-room equipment for new employees. - Assist new employees during onboarding with their new equipment. - Troubleshoot common hardware, software, connectivity, and collaboration-tool issues with support from the team. - Assist in asset inventory, device records, and IT documentation. - Help keep office IT equipment organised, available, and in good working order. - Contribute to support guides, knowledge-base articles, and improvements to recurring support processes. - Learn and follow Verda’s IT security and access-management practices. Your key competencies We're looking for someone with genuine technical curiosity, a helpful attitude, and the discipline to work carefully in an environment where reliability and security matter. - Basic hands-on experience with laptops, operating systems (macOS/Windows/Linux), user accounts, and common workplace software. - Basic understanding of networking concepts such as VPNs, IP addresses, and connectivity troubleshooting. - Comfortable learning new tools and working through problems step by step. - Strong attention to detail and willingness to document work accurately. - Good communication skills in English, proactive and willing to take initiative. - Service-minded, reliable, and comfortable working directly with colleagues. Nice to have - Previous experience in IT support, customer service, or another hands-on technical environment. - Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, or similar collaboration tools. - Exposure to device-management, ticketing, or IT asset-management systems. - Basic knowledge of identity and access management, including multi-factor authentication and permissions. - Personal projects, coursework, certifications, or interests involving hardware, operating systems, networking, or scripting. - Interest in automation, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, or AI tools.
