We are seeking licensed healthcare assistants for permanent positions in Kirkkonummi to join the home rehabilitation team. The role includes home rehabilitation work and on-call duties within safety response services. The work area may change or expand as needed. The home rehabilitation unit collaborates closely with the Western Hospital area, Seniori-info, and the regional home care team, handling hospital-to-home transitions for elderly patients, home-based care and rehabilitation, safety call services, and needs assessments in collaboration with Seniori-info. The assistant’s work in home rehabilitation is autonomous, client-centered, and rehabilitative, including basic care and nursing tasks. The goal is to enable functional everyday living and support living at home. Responsibilities in safety response shifts include receiving alarms via an electronic alarm system and visiting clients’ homes independently. A quick assessment of the client’s situation and home functioning is performed, immediate first aid and other support is provided, and arrangements for additional help are made as needed. Home visits may involve consultation with other professionals. The role also includes installing safety telephones and other safety devices and verifying their operation. Documentation is a significant part of both home rehabilitation and safety services, including Lifecare patient information system entries and sharing notes with other professionals as needed. Cooperation with different authorities and teams (home care and social crisis duty) is required. You will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills in a multifaceted way, with emphasis on good communication, responsibility, and teamwork. The unit and supervisor support smooth workflow. The team is multidisciplinary, including nurses, physiotherapists, and a doctor. This is a shift work position with morning and evening shifts and weekends. We may start interviews during the application period, please apply soon. Worksite address: Jokiniitytie 2, 02400 Kirkkonummi. Working time: 114h 45min / 3 weeks. The position is permanent. Eligible education: licensure as Lähihoitaja with entitlement to use the protected professional title. Desirable: basic level first aid, nursing, care, or rescue services. Requirements: fluent written and spoken Finnish; Swedish is an advantage; driving licence is mandatory; medication permission is not mandatory but must be completed during probation. We value understanding of home-based support services and client needs, knowledge of on-call services and emergency operations in social and health care, ability to work independently under the regional guidelines, ability to work independently at clients’ homes, first-aid knowledge, experience caring for older people, ability to adopt new systems quickly, and prior experience with Lifecare, alarm systems, safety equipment management systems, and sensor data platforms. Vaccination protection under the Infectious Diseases Act and tuberculin testing are required. Random drug testing may be requested. From 1.1.2024, selected candidates must present a police background check as required by Finnish law for work with older persons.
