Etelä-Savon well-being district Eloisa seeks a caregiver for the Simpukka unit at Vaalijala’s competence and support centre from 4 September 2026 or by agreement. Simpukka is an eight-bed unit offering goal-oriented short- and long-term rehabilitation and multidisciplinary support for children and adolescents who may have congenital somatic, psychiatric and psychosocial challenges, learning difficulties and autistic features. For mobile and physically disabled children, Simpukka has its own small communities. The unit also has nursing readiness for children requiring demanding care and continuous monitoring. The caregiver's task is high-quality basic care (daily activities and medication) and guiding clients in daily life, including schooling and leisure activities. The caregiver's responsibilities include promoting the client's functional capacity and implementing rehabilitative work methods and the use of assistive devices. The caregiver observes, assesses and documents the client's needs in daily life, acting client-centredly according to individual goals while respecting and strengthening the client's self-determination.
