Åbo Akademi is an internationally oriented research university with national responsibility for Swedish-language education in Finland. We are seeking an Expeditions Master for the Campus Development unit. The position starts on 1 October 2026 or by agreement, and the place of placement is Turku. As expeditions mästare you will be responsible for practical, service-oriented tasks that support daily campus operations, including mail and goods handling, receiving, coordinating and following up orders and deliveries, and performing minor repair and maintenance tasks such as repairing or replacing items that are broken. You will assist with room furnishing, installation of fixtures, transportation, and light moves. You will check technical equipment and alarm and lock systems, and handle key management according to routines. You will also manage storage and stock areas and ensure materials, equipment and inventory are available and in good condition. Other tasks may be assigned by the employer.

Responsibilities
- Handle mail and goods and coordinate orders and deliveries
- Perform minor repair and maintenance tasks and replace broken items
- Assist with room furnishing and installation of fixtures
- Coordinate transports and light moves
- Check technical equipment and alarm/lock systems
- Manage card and key handling according to procedures
- Oversee storages and stock areas; ensure materials and inventory are available and in good condition
- Other duties as assigned by the employer
Requirements
- Excellent practical and service orientation
- Ability to work independently in a campus setting
- Good organizational and collaborative skills
- Detail-oriented and capable of handling service, maintenance and logistics tasks
- Swedish and Finnish language proficiency; English if needed
- Valid category B driving license
- Experience in service, facilities, maintenance or logistics is an advantage
