Software Developer

Help shape the future of intelligent lighting. We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our team and help build the next generation of Casambi's digital services. Your initial focus will be on a new licence activation project and the systems that manage customer licences, and access to products and services. As the project evolves, you'll have opportunities to work across multiple products and services, contributing both to new development and the continuous improvement of existing solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building polished user experiences while also understanding how complete systems work behind the scenes. Although the primary focus is mobile and web development using Flutter, you'll be expected to understand the entire solution and confidently read and understand backend code when needed. Most importantly, we're looking for a developer who enjoys learning, embraces new technologies, and actively uses AI as part of their daily development workflow. What you'll do • Develop mobile and web applications using Flutter • Build solutions that support product licensing, customer onboarding, and access to digital services • Collaborate with backend, cloud, product, and business teams to deliver complete solutions • Understand, debug, and occasionally contribute to .NET C# backend services • Participate in technical design, architecture discussions, code reviews, and testing • Use AI-powered development tools to improve productivity, quality, and learning • Learn new technologies, business processes, and customer requirements as products evolve • Contribute throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept and implementation to release and customer adoption • Maintain solutions after launch and develop new capabilities based on business needs and customer feedback • Work across multiple products and projects as priorities and opportunities evolve What we're looking for Essential • 5+ years of professional software development experience • Strong software engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills • Experience developing modern mobile and/or web applications • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and business domains • Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and software quality • Understanding of full-stack application architecture • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams • Strong communication skills Highly appreciated • Experience with Flutter • Experience with .NET and C# • Experience with cloud-based services and APIs • Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices • Experience shipping new products or major product capabilities to customers • Product-oriented mindset and customer focus Ways of working We support flexible and remote working. At the same time, we believe that some of the best collaboration happens face-to-face. We expect team members to be able to visit our office approximately once per month and occasionally spend several consecutive days on-site for team events, workshops, planning sessions, or other collaborative activities.
